Wal-Mart/Sam's Club is one of the widest private employers in the world nowadays. With a staff that includes more the 2 million associates, you may be astonished at the number of Walmart jobs that are available every day.

About Wal-Mart

Founded in 1962 by Sam Walton, the Wal-Mart Corporation includes more than 2700 Wal-Mart stores, 1150 world-wide depots and nearly 500 Sam's Club stores. These numbers do not include the manufacturing plants, transportation industrial plants and other views of this retail giant. So if you are looking for a job, "Wally World" is a good place to begin.

Jobs Available

There are so many various jobs available that it in reality can boggle the mind if you think about it too much. When most individuals imagine of Wal-Mart employees, they think sales clerks and stock boys, and it is proper those types of jobs are listed but Wal-Mart hires a great many other professions then just customer service oriented staff. Pay Scale

Although Wal-Mart has come under fire in previous years because of their pay rate, the truth is the common store clerk makes approximately $10 per hour. Some people cry "foul" and say that that is not adequate to survive and perhaps they are correct. However, let's think for a minute the countless of jobs available for the common store clerk/cashier in America today, most cashiers are paid minimum salary and do not receive any benefits at all, Wal-Mart gives above the government minimum wage standard and has benefits. Even As an instance do you know what McDonalds and other fast food companies give their employees? The regular rate of pay for a fast food restaurant employee is $8.50 per hour without welfares. How about chain stores like 7-11? Regular starting pay for a convenience store clerk working night shift is $8.50 an hour also without benefits.

Qualifications

Qualifications for employment with Wal-Mart or one of its subsidiary companies varies from job to job. For most, you can get on the job training. The more specialized jobs like pharmacist and Optometrists do require certifications in their respective areas but Wal-Mart is one of the few places that will employ certified personnel right out of college with no experience.
